This Statement explains, precisely and in plain language, what "verification" on Terminal is and what it is not. It forms part of the Terms of Use and should be read with the Trade Liability Disclaimer & Non-Guarantee.

1. Purpose of verification

Terminal is a curated directory. Before a Provider is listed or shown as "verified", Terminal carries out a limited documentation-review process to support the quality of the directory. The purpose is to apply a consistent baseline standard to listings — not to certify, endorse, or guarantee any Provider.

2. What verification IS

Verification is a point-in-time review by which Terminal:

1. Reviews self-supplied documents — checks that the documents a Provider uploads (for example, commercial registration, tax card, category-relevant certificates or licences) are present, legible, and facially consistent with the Provider's stated identity and category;

2. Checks category eligibility — confirms that the Provider fits one of the Platform's defined service categories (e.g. packhouse, cold store, laboratory, logistics, maintenance, consultant) and meets the basic profile criteria for that category;

3. Checks profile standard — confirms that the profile meets Terminal's minimum completeness and presentation standard (required fields completed, contact details present, no obviously conflicting or prohibited content).

Verification is performed on the information and documents as supplied by the Provider at the time of review.

3. What verification IS NOT

Verification is expressly not, and must not be understood as, any of the following:

• Not a certification or accreditation. Terminal is not a certification body and issues no certificate, mark, or accreditation.
• Not a compliance or quality guarantee. Verification does not confirm that a Provider complies with any law, standard, or importing-country requirement, or that its goods, facilities, or services meet any quality or food-safety standard.
• Not authentication of documents. Terminal reviews documents on their face. It does not attest to, and does not guarantee, the authenticity, validity, currency, or completeness of any certificate, licence, or document beyond the limited review step. Terminal does not routinely confirm documents with issuing authorities unless expressly stated for a specific check.
• Not an inspection. Terminal does not inspect facilities, audit processes, test products, or witness operations.
• Not ongoing monitoring. Verification is a point-in-time step. Terminal does not continuously monitor a Provider, and a certificate or status may lapse or change after review without the listing changing. [COUNSEL/OPERATOR: state re-verification cadence if any, e.g. annual re-check.]
• Not a substitute for your own vetting. Verification does not replace the due diligence that Buyers must perform for themselves (see Trade Liability Disclaimer, Section 3).
• Not an endorsement. A "verified" status is not a recommendation, ranking, or endorsement of the Provider by Terminal.

4. Self-supplied certificates

Certificates and documents shown on the Platform are self-supplied by the Provider. Terminal displays or references them to help Buyers, but does not warrant that they are genuine, unexpired, unrevoked, or applicable to any particular transaction. Buyers should independently verify any certificate they intend to rely on, including confirming it with the relevant issuing or competent authority.

5. Changes, withdrawal, and reporting

Terminal may re-review, downgrade, or withdraw "verified" status at any time, including where information appears inaccurate, outdated, or misleading. If you believe a listing or document is inaccurate or fraudulent, please report it to [OPERATOR CONTACT EMAIL].
